YARMOUTH APPOINTS SCOTT LAFLAMME AS TOWN MANAGER

The Town of Yarmouth is pleased to announce the appointment of Scott LaFlamme as its new Town Manager, pending formal confirmation by the Town Council, scheduled for April 25th. Following an exhaustive national search, LaFlamme emerged as the standout candidate. His vision, experience, and dedication to the community are all in alignment with Yarmouth's values and aspirations.

LaFlamme enters the role with a wealth of experience and dedication to public service. He succeeds Nat Tupper, who admirably served as Town Manager for an impressive 32 years. LaFlamme has been an integral part of the community, serving as the Assistant Town Manager and Director of Economic Development since September of 2017. Following Tupper's retirement in February of this year, LaFlamme has served as Interim Town Manager, continuing his leadership and commitment to Yarmouth's policy initiatives.

Prior to his tenure in Yarmouth, LaFlamme held key positions in the City of Bath as Director of Community and Economic Development, and the Town of Turner as Town Manager. His experiences have equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of municipal governance and economic development strategies.

David Craig, Chair of the Yarmouth Town Council, expressed confidence in LaFlamme's ability to lead Yarmouth into a prosperous future. "Scott is highly respected and liked by municipal and school department management and staff. The search committee received applications from well over a dozen highly qualified and experienced applicants from Maine and beyond. I am certain that we made the best choice and looking forward to a great future for Yarmouth under Scott's leadership."

LaFlamme's official confirmation as Town Manager on April 25th marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Yarmouth. The Town Council and residents alike eagerly anticipate the positive impact of his leadership on the community.
