The Town Engineer provides design, management, coordination and technical support services to internal and external customers including residents, Town departments and Boards, regulatory agencies, outside agencies, vendors, contractors and others as required.
The Town Engineer also provides administrative oversight of the Wastewater Department, including issuance of wastewater related permitting.
The Town Engineer manages the Town Buildings including capital work and maintenance. Engineering is responsible for E-911 addressing, utility location permits, management and implementation of the Town’s NPDES MS4 General Permit and the Town’s GIS system. Engineering archives road descriptions and easements as well as paper street records. The Town Engineer also manages or provides technical support for Planning Board peer review, Town construction projects, our landfill monitoring program, MDOT projects, FEMA mapping, Town owned bridges and most other technical issues that may need technical support.
