Yarmouth Community Television

Yarmouth Municipal Television (YMTV) is a government access station with its studio located in the Log Cabin at 196 Main Street in Yarmouth, Maine. The Town of Yarmouth holds a Franchise Agreement with Time Warner that provides a cable channel for its televising facilities, broadcast on Channel 3. YMTV is a governmental facility and covers only governmental events, primarily meetings. In addition, the station provides a community Bulletin Board that runs community service announcements and provides Town of Yarmouth information.

Community Bulletin Board
The YMTV Bulletin Board will only accept content from governmental agencies, nonprofit agencies, churches, etc. The information announces events and/or activities in and around the Town of Yarmouth. YMTV will generally only post information for free or very low cost events. If you have questions about specific content, you can contact yarmouthtv@yarmouth.me.us to ask your specific question.

The YMTV Bulletin Board is comprised of JPG files, each playing for about fifteen seconds. If you would like to submit a JPG file to display on the bulletin board, you may email information in a .jpg image or Microsoft PowerPoint slide (landscape 4:3) or a press release to yarmouthtv@yarmouth.me.us.

TV Schedule 
The following regularly scheduled town meetings are cablecast live on YMTV (if meetings do not occur, schedule change information is not posted on Channel 3): 

  • Yarmouth Town Council: the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 7 p.m.
  • The Planning Board: the 4th Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m.
  • Yarmouth School Committee: the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 7 p.m.

Replay Schedule 
The most recent Yarmouth Town meetings are replayed on YMTV according to the following schedule: 

  • Yarmouth Town Council meetings are rebroadcast on Sunday at 5:00 p.m., Monday at 7:00 p.m., and Saturday at 9:00 a.m.
  • Planning Board meetings are rebroadcast on Sunday at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday at 11 a.m., and Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
  • Yarmouth School Committee meetings are rebroadcast on Sunday at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at 7:00 p.m., and Saturday at 1:00 p.m.  

Reporting a “Channel 3 Only” Outage
If there is an interruption in YMTV service, it may be due to a power outage, technical issues, or severe weather. During normal business hours, you may report an outage to the Town Hall at 846-9036 or yarmouthtv@yarmouth.me.us
